Volunteer Center Borders

Volunteer Centre Borders

Anyone can volunteer and that includes you!  You can volunteer to help other people, help yourself to gain new skills and you can volunteer by yourself (maybe meeting new friends) or with your mates.

Plus, if you sign up to the Millennium Volunteers Award, you can get a certificate when you’ve done 50, 100 or 200 hours of volunteering.  Not only that but you can sign up electronically and you don’t need to do any paper work at all.

If you want a certificate that employers will like, you can take part in the Youth Achievement Awards.  These involve being part of a group of people your own age, issuing and approving challenges for each other.  The Awards range from bronze level right up to platinum.

VC Borders gives advice and information to anyone who wants to volunteer but if you’re under 25 and would like to volunteer, you can contact one of our Youth Volunteering Development Workers.  You can also contact us if you’re an organisation wanting advice on involving and engaging young volunteers.
