My entire working life has been dedicated to promoting local history, heritage & culture through music & creative arts. I am a qualified professional freelance community creative writing & music practitioner & leader, with 20 years broad international music industry experience as an accomplished songwriter, performer, recording artist, record label owner, agent, manager & tutor, aswell as singer, guitar & mandolin player. With a passionate belief that everyone is capable of creativity, my community work is universal & includes all ages from 5 to 90+. I use music & song, particularly Traditional & Music Hall styles, alongside my passion for local history, culture, people, places & events, as tools to inspire creative writing from memories, personal experiences, anecdotes & regional knowledge, through both individual & group participation. My varied community projects have included much cross-arts collaboration, including poetry, drama, dance & puppetry.
