YouthBorders supports the network of youth groups and non-uniformed clubs across the Scottish Borders region and offers benefits, including training, insurance, strategic representation and support for youth work organisations.  Our over-arching aim is to support the delivery of good quality youth work in the Scottish Borders.

Youth Work Futures and Beyond

YouthBorders has focused on sustainability to a great extent for the last 2 years. We are now moving on to focus with our members on the range and quality of youth work.

Ceri Hunter has now joined the team as our new Development Coordinator – Youth Work, having spent 2 years as the Schools Development Officer with another youth organisation across central and south Scotland.

We aim to support the growing confidence in the voluntary youth work sector through the training and activities offered to youth workers, volunteers and young people. We are very optimistic for YouthBorders and our members about what we can achieve together as a team, and Ceri’s role is pivotal in this shift. Please find attached the second YouthBorders Impact Report

The YouthBorders Impact Report 2011 captures the impact not just of YouthBorders, but that of many of our members. The 2010 report was submitted to the Christie Commission as an example of good practice.

We hope that this report will demonstrate powerfully the value our members bring across the Borders.
