YouthBorders have an exciting opportunity for you to make sure the voices of young people from across the Scottish Borders are heard. The Youth Board will provide you a platform to shout about the issues that matter to you as a young person, helping YouthBorders to take them forward and do something about it.
The mission of the Youth Board is to champion the young people the Scottish Borders and inform the plans of YouthBorders. You can use your voice in influencing decision makers, gaining leadership skills, and change the lives of young people here in the Borders.
We need you to tell us what you think needs to be improved or change here in the Borders for young people, looking at where YouthBorders can influence that change, and help deliver that change. We also want you to take the lead in helping promote and celebrate achievements and successes of the young people who live in the Borders.
The Youth Board will meet 4 times a year to discuss projects, strategies, fundraising ideas and influencing other aspects of YouthBorders management. A representative of the Youth Board will also join the Board of YouthBorders at their regular meetings to feed into the discussions.
The Youth Board will be made up of young people from YouthBorders member organisations, a list of which can be found here.
